Bearing Health Analysis

DynaVibe MX's spectral analysis mode and crest factor measurements can be used to evaluate bearing health.

As bearings rotate, vibration from fretting and other types of bearing damage can be seen at a multiple of RPM × Ball Count. This information can be used to identify failing bearings, assess the extent of bearing damage and monitor the rate of decomposition.

Dynamic Balancing

Assemblies are dynamically balanced by making vibration measurements (magnitude and phase angle) then adding or removing weight to adjust the center of mass until the center of mass lies as close to the center of rotation as is practical. Although perfect balance can never be achieved and at some point the balancing process produces diminishing returns, substantial improvements are usually possible with a couple of hours effort. And the benefits can be tremendous.
